In 2003, Spanish Oak Hunt Club purchased 130 acres within a 50 minute drive of downtown Austin with the intent to become a full service hunting preserve and dog training facility. Our goal was not to offer a “country club” type of atmosphere, but instead to provide an affordable club for bird hunting and hunting dog enthusiasts alike. Our efforts and investments are put towards providing the best hunting and training environment that we can offer. You will not see a million dollar clubhouse or a five-star chef here nor will you see that reflected in our prices. However, you will certainly benefit from the enjoyable, quality experience of Spanish Oak Hunt Club as will your family, friends, co-workers, and business clients.

The amazing value of our facility starts as a place where members can train their own dog by utilizing the club’s dog training grounds, ponds and tools. Members of Spanish Oak Hunt Club enjoy the availability of upland birds and homing pigeons for training year around. If you are training your own dog – you will be impressed with our services and facilities. We also offer training and boarding services, and we are proud to host two North American Versatile Hunting Dog (NAVHDA) tests per year.

And while our members certainly enjoy the most benefits from Spanish Oak Hunt Club, we welcome non-members to join us for fantastic upland hunts as well. Our hunting season typically runs from October through March, and our pheasants, chukars and quail will test even the most seasoned upland hunters. We also provide a unique European pheasant shoot opportunity for groups of 10-20 shooters. Just a word of caution, our European pheasant shoot course is not for the feint of heart. It will challenge even the best wing shooters. But then again, that is what Spanish Oak Hunt Club’s hunting operations are all about – providing an enjoyable yet challenging shoot or hunt for all of our clients.
